BBC Radio Scotland will be covering the Barclays Scottish Open and I’m super excited this year to be joining their on-course commentary team.
It has always been a great tournament to be involved in and it’s even more thrilling this year as the new venue is the stunning Castle Stuart Gof Links, Inverness, which is right on my doorstep. The buzz around the local golf clubs and the town in general has been phenomenal in recent weeks. It is certainly the biggest sporting event EVER to be staged in the Highlands and I for one can’t wait.
The tournament dates are Thursday 7th – Sunday 10th July and a star-studded field are lined up to contest this prestigious title, including the world’s number one and two golfers, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood.
BBC Radio Scotland will be delivering several hours of live output on each of the four days on 810 khz, 370 m; FM 92.4 – 94.7
